We hire professional photographers for so many things. We have them at our wedding, to shoot our pregnancy, and to document our children and families at every age, but a lot of times our furry four legged family members get left off the list. Taking photos of our pets is just as important to capture and that is why I am highlighting Stephen Bobb of FidoJournalism. Stephen is a brilliant wedding photographer but he also found a fantastic little niche shooting pets. In Stephen’s words, this is a little about FidoJournalism:
FidoJournalism was born out of my passion for photography and my love of pets. Our family has three dogs and I started out just photographing them around the house. When I started marketing my pet photography, the pet photographers in the area were mostly doing posed, studio work. I wanted to bring something a little different to pet portraits. The name FidoJournalism is a play on the word “photojournalism,” and reflects my style. My primary goal is to tell a story about each pet through my images. My style is natural and candid to capture the true personalities of the animals. I do most of my sessions in homes or local parks where the animals visit regularly and are comfortable.
Here is just a small sample of Stephen’s gorgeous work:
